Won the IoT track at DeerHack by developing automatic segregated dustbins designed to improve waste handling and notify waste managers when bins became full.

Automatic Waste Segregation Bins
The Problem
Waste collection becomes inefficient when different types of waste are mixed together and when collection teams do not know which bins require attention. The challenge was to address both segregation and timely collection.
The Solution
Built automatic segregated dustbins that separated waste and informed waste managers when the bins were full, connecting physical waste infrastructure with an information system.
Outcome & Impact
The project won the IoT track at DeerHack for combining physical automation with waste-management monitoring.
